RECURVE
The bow used in the Olympics. Most people choose to shoot this bowtype in competitions due to its simplicity and accessibility.
Bow
types
BAREBOW
Essentially the stripped-down version of a recurve bow, barebow is simply the riser, limbs and string. This is the bowtype that you will start with as a novice in the club so that we can teach you the basics of archery.
COMPOUND
Otherwise known as the American hunting bow. It's made up of cams and cords to allow for as much power as possible from such a small bow-frame.
Longbow
A classic bow style typically used in the 1300's. These bows are less frequently seen at NTU but any experienced longbow archers are welcome at the club.
